he name Perini Navi, the Italian shipyard, is syn-
onymous with super sailboats. Atmosphere,
over 174 feet (53 meters) in length and with
three main decks, is a true work of art and should take
its rightful place in this superior category. It is a real
pleasure to feel the wind power its sails in the
Mediterranean or the Caribbean.
It was first launched in May 2000 but renovated
three years later, in 2003, and chartered by Edmiston
Company. During the winter it plies the waters of the
Caribbean and, in the summer, the Mediterranean. All
this starting at $210,000 dollars per week.
This steel-hulled superstructure has a beam that
measures 37.53 feet (11.41 meters) and a draft of 27.30
feet (8.30meters). Under ideal sailing conditions, it can
reach a maximum speed of 15 knots thanks to its pow-
erful 1,257 hp Deutz diesel engine.
Atmosphere is the third in the shipyard’s 52-53
meter series and is the sister ship of
Liberty
and
Independence
. This series maximizes not only space
but also stability and improves the performance of
the boat. It can hold 12 passengers and 11 crew.
The principal saloon features an area with a desk
and twin seats for relaxation as well as an area for
meals. Its elegant awning offers guests a charming,
alternate area for sunbathing or shade for relaxing.
The interior is cozy, intimate and family oriented,
with comfortable sofas and chairs upholstered in
ochre, orange and cherry wood finishes. It also has
audiovisual equipment including satellite TV, DVD and
CD player.

veleros, ahí es donde pertenece Atmosphere, de eslo-
ra superior a los 174 pies (53metros) y tres cubiertas
principales, verdadera obra, donde resulta todo un placer la
propulsión que brinda el viento para el disfrute de las aguas
del Mediterráneo o Caribe.
Fue lanzado en mayo del 2000 pero renovado tres
años después, en 2003 y puesto en charter por Edmiston
Company , en una zona de navegación de invierno por el Ca-
ribe y en verano por el Mediterráneo, desde 210 mil dólares
por semana.
Dentro de las características de la superestructura, con
casco de acero, está la manga de 37.53 pies (11.41metros),
y calado de 27.30 pies (8.30 metros). Puede alcanzar una
velocidad máxima de 15 nudos, en condiciones ideales para
navegar, gracias a una poderosa gemela diesel (motor)
1,257 hp Deutz.
Atmosphere es el tercero de la serie 52-53 metros del
astillero, nave hermana de
Libertad
e
Independencia
. Se tra-
ta de una serie que maximiza no sólo el espacio sino tam-
bién estabilidad y mejora el rendimiento.
Puede albergar a 12 pasajeros más 11 personas de tri-
pulación. El salón principal tiene un área de descanso, con
escritorio y asientos gemelos así como un área de comida.
Con un toldo elegante, provee a los huéspedes un área al-
ternativa y encantadora para asolearse o sombreada para
la relajación.
Los interiores resultan acogedores, íntimos ymuy fami-
liares, con sofás y sillas cómodas, forradas en telas de tonos
ocres y luz-naranja, acabados de madera cereza. Tiene ade-
más elementos audiovisuales como TV satelital, DVD y CD.
