Several shipyards took advantage of the French event to showcase their progress towards a greener industry, presenting their hybrid and electric propulsion vessels at the nautical gathering that has been held since 1977. Hybrid propulsion systems - electric and diesel engines - significantly reduce emissions and fuel consumption. Also on display were yachts with integrated solar panels that generate energy to power on-board auxiliary systems without the need to start the engines. El Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 deslumbró con la exhibición de más de 700 modelos de vela y motor en el Vieux Port y Port Canto, en una demostración de innovación, lujo y diseño, con especial atención a la sostenibilidad y las experiencias inmersivas. Varios astilleros aprovecharon la cita francesa para mostrar sus avances hacia una industria más ecológica, presentando sus navíos de propulsión híbrida y eléctrica, en la reunión náutica que se celebra desde 1977. En el caso de sistemas de propulsión híbrida –motores eléctricos y diésel–, reducen significativamente las emisiones y el consumo de combustible. También fueron presentados yates con paneles solares integrados, que producen energía para alimentar los sistemas auxiliares a bordo sin necesidad de encender motores.
