A luxury yacht
At the Monaco Boat Show in 2004, the new luxury catamaran, the Sunreef 74 astounded all the visitors with the quality of its construction and its detail work. It was at the Gdansk shipyards in Poland where the Lapp family of ship builders produced the first model of this magnificent catamaran. The Sunreef 74 is a perfect example of this Polish family’s expertise. It is the first aluminum catamaran to come out of the shipyard, combining comfort and style, including elegant interiors, a roomy flybridge, state of the art instrumentation, and excellent craftsmanship. The tandem design by naval architects Van Peteghem - Lauriot Prévot (experts in multi-hull design) was executed to respond to the needs of deluxe charter providers and clients with a very personalized view of a catamaran cruiser.
The Sunreef 74 has been described as one of the most beautiful catamarans in the world. She is unique, spacious, and luxurious and as she cruises the favorite jet set hideaways in the Mediterranian or the Carribean, she causes heads to turn in admiration – she is the perfect water-sport companion offering practically all you would need to enjoy the outdoors in the most exotic corners on earth. Twin staircases on the rear of each of the double hulls allow easy access to the water for diving, skiing, or snorkling. The ample foredeck is ideal to soak in the rays with head breeze as the sails catch the wind above. The flybridge is perfect for al-fresco dining or taking turns at the upper helm. There are a combination of four sails including a main, a genoa jib, a stay sail and a topgallant. A spinnaker and a gennaker are optional. The cockpit on the main deck offers shelter form the weather without losing contact with the out doors.
Entering the main saloon there is 360° of visibility with windows all round. There is a bar, a dining table for 8 and, of course, the magnificently well equipped helm station with swivel chair so that the captain can keep in touch with his guests. Individual access to the three bedrooms and a crew cabin in the hulls are via staircases which access from the main saloon on both the starboard and port sides. For a catamaran, the suites are amazingly roomy and well designed. Each has its own private full bathroom and plenty of closet space to store all the guests need on long journeys. The simple but very elegant style of its interior design make the guests feel pampered in comfortable luxury.
All Sunreef Yachts are `custom made´ and their construction is based on very close cooperation with the client so there are never two exactly alike except for quality workmanship and safety requirements – it is truly a magnificent yacht to spend a well earned luxury holiday enjoying the outdoors to its fullest extent.
