The international boating industry will once again have one of its major events at the 67th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), from October 28 to November 1.

Considered the world's largest floating boat show, FLIBS will offer a journey through the trends that are defining the market. Among its highlights are large vessels designed for transoceanic voyages, models with hybrid propulsion systems, and new platforms that combine sporty performance with spaces designed for entertainment and onboard living.

Among the most striking vessels is the 93-meter Draak, originally built by Oceanco in 2014 and transformed to support scientific research and marine exploration as a support yacht for the Leviathan. Its capabilities include handling auxiliary vessels and specialized equipment, a dive center, a medical area, and a hyperbaric chamber.

Also noteworthy is the 68-meter Lady Christine, built by Feadship and delivered in 2010. Designed for long-range cruising, it combines naval architecture by De Voogt Naval Architects and interiors by Rodney Black Design Studios.

Meanwhile, the 64-meter Scout embodies the concept of global exploration. Built by Hakvoort and delivered in 2019, it features ice-rated navigation, a helipad, a bow observation lounge, and spacious exterior areas.

Trend-Setting Debuts

The launch calendar includes more than 50 debuts, among them the 30-meter Pearl 100 Hybrid, Pearl Yachts' new flagship and the brand's first hybrid-powered model.

Innovation will also be present in the Delta 72, developed in collaboration with Mannerfelt Design. Its lightweight carbon fiber construction aims to reduce fuel consumption and extend range without sacrificing versatility for recreational cruising and entertainment. In the sport yacht segment, Viking Yacht Company and Valhalla Boatworks will present four world premieres: the Viking 70 Convertible, the Viking 64 Sport Coupe, the Viking 50 Sport Coupe, and the Valhalla 46 Sport Yacht.

These are joined by the Prestige M8 EVO, with updated interiors and a full-beam flybridge; the Absolute Navetta 66, which emphasizes panoramic views and spaciousness; and the Galeon 570 SKY, whose hidden upper deck and optional fold-down balconies expand the possibilities for using the space.

The lineup is completed by the Princess C48, available in Open and Deck Saloon versions, and the Aquila 35 Sport, a motor catamaran that offers five entertainment areas within its 35-foot length.

A meeting point for the global nautical community

Beyond yachts, FLIBS will bring together marine technology, fishing and diving equipment, accessories, and dockside experiences over five days. Its diversity allows visitors to explore both large exploration vessels and boats designed for enjoying the sea on short getaways.
