At a private function attended by shipyard staff and their guests, the new WIDER 165 was unveiled, a powerful 50m boat that boasts a 100% aluminum body and an in-house design headed by WIDER and the Italian firm Fulvio de Simoni.

This noble metal increases the ship’s lifespan; its lighter weight allows it to travel further with less fuel. At the heart of the WIDER 165 there is an electric diesel engine and a lithium polymer battery which drastically cuts fuel consumption. This combination makes the WIDER 165 a more reliable vessel with improved rage, a lower noise and vibration output, and infrequent maintenance. WIDER 165 will be available for purchase this summer at a cost of thirty million euro.
