Floating hotels are the newest trend among the finest of international tourism. On the island of Bora Bora, considered the most beautiful island in the world, Le Meridien Bora Bora and the St. Regis Bora Bora stand out, the latter, is the most luxurious in the area. In the fashionable Maldives, the One & Only Reethi Rah, is among the most exclusive. Also noteworthy is the Taj Exotica and Club Med Kanifinolhu, among others. In India, the Taj Lake Palace Hotel, floats on a lake in Udaipur; it has all the luxury of the maharajas. The Burj Al Arab was built on an island in the Gulf of Dubai, and it has an underwater restaurant. Vancouver, Canada, is proud of its beautiful floating King Pacific Lodge hotel, which is accessible only by floatplane. The most luxurious? Votes favor the Hilton Pattaya, in Thailand.
