Belfast, “mouth of the sandbars”, is the capital of Northern Ireland, and the second largest city of Ireland, after Dublin. Belfast is home to numerous sites that attract visitors from around the world: The Belfast City Council, a perfect example of Edwardian architecture, featuring a 53m high cupola; Ulster Bank, built in 1860, and the Victorian-style Queens University and Linenhall Library.
