One of the most luxurious Hotels in Colombia, the Hotel Boutique LM in Cartagena de Indias, offers its guests not only an excellent lodging service, but also a journey through time. The Hotel Boutique LM is located in the Street of the Mantilla, previously known as Our Lady of the Blessing of God. This street is famous for the legend of Don Juan Pérez de Guzmán y María Encarnación. 

 

The story tells of Maria, the daughter of a high dignitary at the Royal Hacienda, meeting Don Juan Pérez de Guzmán when he was governor of Cartagena; he falls in love with the young woman and soon asks for her hand in marriage, yet the marriage is never consummated. He is named governor of Puerto Rico and leaves Cartagena without leaving news of his departure, which leads the young woman to take her life, using the shawl she used to wear when attending Mass. Hence, the use of the name La Mantilla.

The seven beautiful rooms of the LM are decorated with contemporary art and crafts from all over the world, as well as with appealing oriental rugs. The combination of these aesthetics elements provides it with an international air in all spaces. There are three types of rooms: Suite, Junior Suite, and luxury quarters. All are fitted with a King size bed, flat-screen televisions, and Wi-Fi connection. The bathrooms feature an elaborate closet and an ample shower, while the luxury accommodations are fitted with Jacuzzis. 

The terrace of the LM deserves an honourable mention. It provides visitors with impressive views of the beautiful city of Cartagena de Indias: the colonial roofs and the copulas of the Cathedral of Santa Catalina and the church of San Pedro de Claver. It also boasts a swimming pool and a massage cabin. The terrace is a multifaceted space, here one can enjoy a romantic dinner in total privacy, observe the sunsets while savouring a delicious coffee, or even organize a business meeting or social reception.

The amenities at the LM do not stay behind, for they include 24-hour, personalized service for every room, interactive kitchen, bar, washing room and Wi-Fi connection throughout the hotel.
