The original TAG Heuer Formula 1 has experienced a phenomenal explosion in popularity among collectors over the past two years.

As part of LVMH Watch Week 2025, which will take place in New York and Paris from January 21, TAG Heuer has launched a brand new Formula 1 collection. The initial range consists of five chronograph models, all with 44 mm Grade 2 titanium cases and the Tag Heuer Caliber 16 chronograph movement, recognizable by its 6-9-12 subdials and a date window at 3 o'clock.

Four of the launch models are collector's pieces that define the new aesthetic of the Formula 1 collection: a case that is neither round nor square, with thick, tapered shoulders leading to a rubber strap and elongated chronograph pushers that (especially on the black-coated models) blend into the main shape of the case.

Each is accentuated by a single striking color. Racing motifs abound, such as a checkered flag printed on the caseback and the word "SPEED" printed on the tachymeter bezel.

The fifth watch is a special edition for Oracle Red Bull Racing, highlighted by a color scheme that references the team's uniform, a checkerboard design with crosshatching on the dial and a co-branded engraving on the caseback.

Like the main collection, it is coated in Grade 2 titanium (sandblasted instead of DLC-coated) and is water-resistant to 200 meters.

Other TAG Heuer additions at LVMH Watch Week

During LVMH Watch Week, TAG Heuer is also presenting several notable additions to the Carrera collection, following the 60th anniversary of the watch. The brand is adding two new models with deep purple dials: a three-register automatic chronograph and a tourbillon chronograph.

There are also two new Carrera Chronosprint watches. These mark the brand's partnership with Porsche and are inspired by the automaker's competitive debut at the Monte Carlo Rally in 1965. Crafted in stainless steel or 18-carat yellow gold, the watches feature a red, black and gold color scheme reminiscent of the chronometers of the era and a "red line" motif on the chronograph subdial at 6 o'clock.

Like previous Chronosprint models, these Carreras use the TH20-08 movement, which features a mechanical part not found in any other chronograph.
