Hublot unveils the Spirit of Big Bang Year of the Horse, a limited edition of 88 pieces crafted in sculpted carbon and 3N gold that fuses haute horlogerie, art, and Eastern symbolism.

In the Chinese zodiac, the horse represents ambition, determination, and relentless forward motion. To commemorate its arrival, Hublot introduces the Spirit of Big Bang Year of the Horse, a limited edition of 88 pieces that reaffirms the brand’s mastery of cutting-edge materials and its ability to translate cultural symbolism into high engineering watchmaking.

Since 2016, the Swiss maison has transformed the Chinese New Year into fertile ground for exploring its aesthetic and technical vision. In 2026, this commitment takes shape in a creation that elevates carbon —one of the house’s signature materials— to a rarely seen artistic dimension.

The Dragon-Horse Spirit

Inspired by the iconography of the Tang dynasty, the dial features a dynamic horse outlined in 3N gold, its mane captured in full motion. Speckled with delicate floral motifs, the figure evokes traditional Chinese painting while projecting contemporary dynamism.

The so-called Dragon-Horse spirit embodies strength and vision, a duality that Hublot embraces as a creative manifesto: advancing without compromise, exploring without limits. The three-dimensionality of the motif, achieved through golden lines inspired by ceremonial embroidery, adds depth and drama to the composition.

Carbon: Precision Transformed into Art

The true technical protagonist is the carbon marquetry dial. Each fragment is cut, aligned, and assembled by hand to construct a stratified surface of remarkable visual complexity. The result is a texture that interacts with light, enhanced by a black lacquer base that intensifies contrast.

The 42 mm tonneau-shaped case, also crafted in matte black carbon, preserves the architectural silhouette characteristic of the Spirit of Big Bang collection. A smoked sapphire case back reveals the movement, while the black rubber-lined calfskin strap underscores the watch’s sporty and contemporary character.

At its heart beats the HUB1710 automatic movement, a high-performance caliber offering approximately 50 hours of power reserve.
