Inspired by Jean Schlumberger’s iconic Rope designs, the signature braided gold motif takes on a new dimension in this piece; Tiffany & Co. pays tribute to its heritage with the exclusive Rope High Jewelry watch, featuring over 32 carats of diamonds and more than 12 carats of aquamarines.
The Tiffany archives house numerous examples of Jean Schlumberger’s Rope creations, including an 18k gold brooch from the early 1950s set with diamonds, rubies, and a central aquamarine.
For over 187 years, Tiffany & Co. has distinguished itself through its mastery of gemstones and exceptional craftsmanship. Since the late 19th century—driven by Charles Lewis Tiffany’s passion for gemstones and the work of renowned gemologist George Frederick Kunz—the House has introduced extraordinary gems to the world and established itself as a pioneer in gemological discovery.
Today, this legacy is reflected in a new generation of Tiffany watches that combines iconic jewelry designs and gemstones with the precision of Swiss Haute Horlogerie.
The 37mm Rope High Jewelry watch featuring aquamarines showcases a floral composition of 32 petals set with trapezoid-cut diamonds totaling 10.38 carats—an abstract interpretation of nature. Crafted in platinum, the watch features a fully pavé central dial composed of 40 trapezoid-cut aquamarines totaling 1.61 carats.
The polished gold rope detailing complements the brilliance of the stones, catching the light to create depth and dimension. The design is completed by a pavé bracelet set with 108 diamonds totaling 19 carats and 61 baguette-cut aquamarines weighing nearly nine carats.
The entire process of crafting and hand-setting the diamonds and aquamarines requires over 120 hours of artisanal work.
