In the early 21st century, Zenith devised one of the most innovative haute horlogerie complications in the market: the “Gravity Control” gyroscopic module, which cancels the effects of gravity on the running rate of the watch, by maintaining the regulation organ and balance wheel in a horizontal position. This mechanism, composed of 139 tiny components, was redesigned and optimized for the new DEFY Zero G to increase efficiency and reduce its dimensions.
The design of the timepiece is modern and stylish. The skeletonized and black rhodium-treated movement contrasts with the light tone of the Zenith star. The symmetrically arranged openworked small seconds subdial and power-reserve counter are swept over by slim hands. The case is made of rose gold or titanium and is 44mm in diameter; it also is water resistant to 100m and comes with a new matching bracelet to either metal, or a rubber strap coated with alligator leather.
