The watch is entirely in 18-carat yellow gold and is illuminated by a dial in natural turquoise. This unprecedented combination of materials gives the watch an unusual brilliance.

Audermars Piguet has just unveiled its 37mm Royal Oak Selfwinding model, which features an iridescent turquoise stone from Mexico, carefully selected to decorate the new model. After being cut into a fine slice, the stone is polished, sandblasted, and set in a gold-plated brass metallic coating.

It is worth noting that no two dials are alike, as each stone has its own natural composition, texture and color, and reacts differently to machining and finishing.

 

 

Used in jewelry for more than three millennia, turquoise is an exceptional stone with many virtues that is a natural fit for the Royal Oak collection.

The case, bezel and bracelet are hand-finished by the craftsmen of Le Brassus. Framed by this yellow gold case, the turquoise dial has an oceanic intensity, its blue hue contrasting with the yellow gold hour markers and hands.

This Royal Oak is equipped with La Manufacture's latest automatic movement with hours, minutes, seconds and hour, the caliber 5900, which will be launched in 2022.
