This model introduces a style variant – in luminous gray – and a distribution model limited to online sales.
According to Hublot, colors are like limited editions: the more they are produced, the less unique they become. This is how the Essential Grey collection was born: a single color, once a year, a single model, a single channel. An approach designed to seduce the most demanding collectors as well as the most casual fans of the line.
This year, it is the turn of the Spirit of Big Bang to be Essential Grey. This historic collection, Hublot's only tonneau-shaped collection, is entirely made of titanium: case, bezel, screw, crown, buttons, caseback and folding clasp.
The idea was to use the chromatic properties of titanium, the soft, radiant grey that the brand wanted to grind and sandblast, as a natural and obvious basis for the new Essential Grey version. The matching rubber strap is characterized by a black border that marks the outer line.
As far as the movement is concerned, in order to preserve the legibility of the watch, the Manufacture has introduced very subtle variations that ensure perfect legibility of all the indications on the dial, while enhancing the skeleton architecture of the HUB4700 caliber. This self-winding chronograph movement operates at a high frequency. It offers a 50-hour power reserve.
Only 100 pieces will be offered for sale, exclusively online at hublot.com. As with certain Hublot models sold online, this digital opportunity is complemented by the Hublot Complete Service.
