Both pay tribute to the 20th anniversary of the Maserati MC12 hypercar.
When it debuted in 2004, the Maserati MC12 was unlike any other Maserati of its time; the MC20 is the most direct line to the modern Maserati, and these two new MC20 editions, the Icona and Leggenda, highlight this historic link.
The Maserati MC20 Icona is finished in a two-tone design that directly references the MC12 Stradale, which in turn paid homage to the earlier Maserati Trofeo Light, with a white (Bianco Audace Matte) and blue (Blu Stradale) design with a subtle Maserati Fuoriserie logo; the wheels are chrome-plated with blue hub caps and blue brake calipers.
The MC20 Leggenda edition features a combination of Nero Essenza and Digital Mint Matte to emulate the MC12 GT1 in the colors of the successful Vitaphone Racing team. The famous Maserati Trident logo is highlighted in yellow, while the wheels and brake calipers are a much darker shade.
Inside, both editions feature special lightweight racing seats, the top-of-the-line Sonus Faber sound system, carbon fiber interior trim and a special suspension lift for a sleek front end on low curbs. Only 20 of each will be produced.
