La Isla Isabel

Isabel Island is situated 28 kilometers from the Nayarit coast and belongs to the Municipality of Santiago Ixcuintla. The birds of the Marietas Islands

The Marietas Islands are a small group of islands to the south of Nayarit located 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the west of Puerto Vallarta, in the mouth of the Banderas Bay. Their volcanic origin is related to the opening of the Gulf of California and presents a large amount of open caves and rocky terrain as a consequence of their rising up during their formation process.
