The audiovisual piece reveals multiple layers of production, cultural dialogue, and aesthetic exploration that converged in a singular staging during Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

A recently announced documentary delves into the creative process behind the Spring–Summer 2026 menswear presentation led by Pharrell Williams in his role as Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director.

The show took place at Place Georges-Pompidou, where a vast urban space was transformed for the occasion. Rather than a conventional runway, the area in front of the Centre Pompidou was reimagined as a monumental three-dimensional board inspired by the traditional game Snakes and Ladders—a concept rooted in Moksha Patam, a game originating in medieval India.

More than a fashion chronicle, the film documents interactions across disciplines—architecture, music, visual arts, and cultural narratives—highlighting a broader movement within the industry toward capturing complex creative processes.

This distinctive set was conceived in collaboration with architect Bijoy Jain, founder of Studio Mumbai, who worked alongside the creative team to interpret the game’s materiality, form, and symbolism on a monumental scale. The documentary’s narrative traces the project from early research into the game and investigative journeys across India to the construction phases in Paris, as well as the integration of the scenography into the show’s visual choreography.

Beyond the engineering of the set, the collection itself incorporates deeply rooted cultural references. The documentary also offers insight into the musical and sensory dimensions of the presentation, including compositions and arrangements created or curated by Williams, featuring elements such as choral voices and contemporary pieces—an approach that has become a recurring hallmark of his shows.
