Rooted in the spirit of the 18th-century Grand Tour, the Anantara Grand Tour of Europe is a contemporary interpretation that favors leisurely travel, sensory immersion, and meaningful connection.
This immersive driving experience—which reimagines the historic Grand Tour for the modern traveler—is the result of a partnership between Anantara Hotels & Resorts (Minor Hotels’ flagship luxury brand) and Alfa Romeo (one of Europe’s most iconic automotive marques).
With the launch of the inaugural itinerary, guests will traverse Europe’s most picturesque routes behind the wheel of iconic Alfa Romeo models, ranging from the classic mid-century Giulietta to the Giulia sports sedan and the dynamic Stelvio SUV. For those seeking superior performance, the powerful Quadrifoglio versions of the Giulia and Stelvio offer a true sports-driving experience.
Anantara and Alfa Romeo—two brands united by a shared vision of craftsmanship, tradition, and emotional connection—first explored their synergy during the Anantara Concorso Roma 2026, a vintage car exhibition where timeless Italian icons paraded through the Eternal City.
The first itinerary launched as part of this new collaboration is a sensory, leisurely route through Italy’s most evocative landscapes. The "Dolce Vita Tour" begins at the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel. After traversing the sun-drenched hills of the Castelli Romani and the radiant coast of Sperlonga, the route continues to the breathtaking heights of Ravello before descending onto the dreamlike curves of the Amalfi Coast, concluding at the Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel. Guests enjoy the Italian art of living with seaside lunches, intimate tastings at family-run vineyards, and sunset drives beneath Positano’s pastel-hued skyline.
A glimpse of what’s to come
Looking ahead to 2027, the Anantara Grand Tour of Europe will expand into new territories, continuing the exploration of the continent through a lens of authenticity, beauty, and sophisticated adventure. New routes will include the French Riviera, Málaga to Marbella, Dublin to Amsterdam, and "The Imperial Capitals Tour"—a distinguished journey through Europe’s historic capitals and charming cities, featuring the splendor of the Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel and the Anantara New York Palace Budapest as starting and ending points.
Along the way, guests will traverse imperial boulevards and scenic routes, pausing to enjoy curated experiences that celebrate Europe’s cultural richness through music, art, and gastronomy. Guests may undertake the full Grand Tour or select an individual itinerary, with connecting flights available to facilitate travel between Anantara hotels.
