With more than 50 tons of equipment already secured at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, the eleven Formula 1 teams arrived by air in Mexico City, in preparation for the Mexican Grand Prix, to be held on November 1st.
More equipment for the teams also arrived by land and sea.
The shipment arrived from Austin, Texas, on seven Boeing 747 cargo planes and marks the first time in the current era of the series in our country that the V6 turbo hybrid single-seaters have been presented under the current regulations of the International Automobile Federation (FIA).
Furthermore, it is the first time that cars from 11 teams have been included in the shipment, including for the first time the Cadillac F1 Team, the new team for the 2026 championship, the team for which Sergio "Checo" Pérez from Guadalajara and Valtteri Bottas from Finland race.
Each plane carried 38 pallets containing the 22 single-seater cars, as well as car components such as engines, wings, tools, specialized equipment, TV broadcast equipment, and hospitality supplies for each team. Containers from Pirelli, with tires for each car, are also being transported, along with the Safety Car, the Medical Car, and TV broadcast equipment.
The 130 trailers that transported the containers from Felipe Ángeles International Airport to the Hermanos Rodríguez Racetrack formed a long line, a reminder of why the championship is also known as the "Grand Circus."
At the same time, more than 100 trucks left the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin and crossed the border into Mexico City. Additionally, 140 containers arrived by sea at the Port of Veracruz, carrying the so-called "advance team" of equipment for the series and the FIA.
