During the summer of 2018, golf will form part of the first European Sports Championships edition, which will take place in Berlin and Glasgow; the golf competition will be made in the Gleneagle course of St Andrews, Scotland.
It is anticipated for players of both sexes to play portraying some of the principal countries in the world. Keith Waters, Executive Director of the European Tour, said: “It’s very exciting to be joining this inaugural edition with three golf competitions; male, female and mixed. This initiative fits perfectly our idea of provoking other European nations to play golf”.
The European Sports Championships will also hold triathlon competitions, as well as athletics, cycling, aquatic sports, rowing and gymnastics.
