Del agente “007” a la realidad
From “007” to Reality
W
ith the pass of the years we have always
dreamed with a car that with could use in
any surface or environment, something
like that was portrayed in the 1967 James Bond
movie, “The Spy Who Loved Me”, where it seemed
something very futuristic coming fromour imagina-
tionnowadaysRinspeedpresent thisprototype capa-
bleof submergeup to10meters, andat the same time
it has great presence on the streets.
But the real challenge was to have a great under-
water car capable of moving as fast as a fish and
to answer the question of how to create the most
exclusive car on the world, with multiple func-
tionally as the dual environment. The answer
was right in the way.
This prototype has three different engines
which make it capable of moving in different
environments. The first which is in the hood
make it circulate on earth, it’s completely hydro
electric with no pollutions emitted under the
system Zero Emission.
The other two engines are to give it functiona-
lity underwater. Two underwater propels to give it
propulsion and two Seabobs to give it stability
underwater. Furthermore the transition from
earth to water has to be made with scuba gear
(included with the car) because this car doesn’t
have a pressurized cabin for security reasons.
It also comes with a system of remote driving
witch accelerates and brake the car from a Joystick
and it also can make it go from one point to anot-
her up to 500 meters always assisted with sensors
of length and braking.
This car is not a submarine because of the limi-
ted capability of submersion ant the lack of a pres-
surized cabin, but if you’re looking for a new type
of fun underwater you could say that the “Squba”
is the best toy money can buy.

lo largo de los años se ha soñado con un
coche que se pueda usar en todas las super-
ficies posibles, algo así fue ideado en 1977
en la cinta de James Bond: “The Spy Who Loved
Me”, donde parecía algo futurista, visto sólo en
películas y en la imaginación del hombre. Hoy por
hoy, Rinspeed nos presenta este prototipo, capaz
de sumergirse hasta 10 metros, a la vez de tener
una gran presencia en las calles.
Pero el verdadero reto estaba en poder tener un
coche en el agua, capaz demoverse tan rápido como un
pez y que respondiera a la interrogante de cómo hacer-
le para tener el automás exclusivo del mundo, conmúl-
tiples funcionalidades. La respuesta no se hizo esperar.
Este prototipo cuenta con tres motores diferen-
tes, que lo hacen capaz de moverse en diferentes
superficies. El primero está en el frente del capo, es
para circular en tierra, totalmente hidroeléctrico y
cero contaminante, bajo el sistema
Zero Emision
.
Los dos siguientes motores son para darle fun-
cionalidad dentro del agua: dos turbinas traseras
para brindarle propulsión y dos
Seabob ´s
para pro-
porcionarle estabilidad dentro del agua. Cabe
mencionar que la transición de la tierra al agua
debe hacerse con un equipo de buceo, incluido en
el coche, ya que este automóvil carece de una
cabina sellada por razones de seguridad.
Cuenta también con un nuevo manejo funcional
y remoto que acelera y desacelera el automóvil, por
medio de un
Joystick
, además de hacerlo llegar de un
punto a otro, hasta por 500 metros, asistido por sen-
sores de distancia y frenado.
Este auto no es precisamente un submarino,
ya que no es muy sumergible por la limitante de
profundidad y la falta de una cabina presurizada,
pero si se está buscando un nuevo tipo de diver-
sión dentro del agua, podría decirse que el
“Squba” es el juguete idóneo que necesita.
