esta especie entre los meses de diciembre y abril. Este
2012 se pudo además observar algo poco usual: se es-
tuvieron alimentando con sardinas; raro, pues gene-
ralmente han pasado los meses previos atiborrándose
de krill y arenque (hasta una tonelada y media diaria
por cetáceo) frente a las costas de California, Oregón,
Washington o British Columbia, justamente con el ob-
jeto de aguantar la travesía hasta esta región, donde
pasan los inviernos apareándose o dando a luz. Los
grupos para cazar alcanzaban hasta treinta ballenas
en número. ¿Podía sorprender algo más a Betty?

to this region, where they spend the winters mat-
ing or giving birth. Groups of hunt whales reached
up to thirty in number. Could something else to
surprise Betty?
