We ate at the Osteria della Cagnola, near the Arco
della Pace, walked down the Corso Magenta with it’s
magnificent buildings. We arrived at Santa Maria delle
Grazie church in the fifteenth century, with a frescoed
Gothic nave, a decorated dome, with a fountain at the
cloister and the refectory with the fresco “The Last Sup-
per” by Leonardo da Vinci and the mural “The Crucifix-
ion” by Montorfano. We visited the Palazzo Litta (XVIIth
century) with beautiful rooms, a stylish courtyard and a
marble staircase. In the Civic Archaeological Museumwe
admire Roman and Christian works. We follow through
the church of San Maurizio (1503), the Via Brisa with its
RomanruinsandthePiazzaAffariwherestandstheBorsa
Valori(1931),themostimportantItalianstockexchange.
We stopped at the historic coffee Magenta and
came to La Scala for the concert of the Philharmonic
Chorus Della Scalla, directed by Daniel Barenboim.
With the music of Beethoven in the head, we had
dinner at Ristorante Boeucc, the oldest of Milan
(1696). The day ended with charm and harmony.
Day 4
In Via Torino we reached the Largo Carrobbio and
the Museo Messina. Admiring the medieval gate Ti-
cinese, decorated with the tabernacle of the Virgin
and Child with St. Ambrose. We discover San Lorenzo
alle Colonne, a fourth century basilica built withmate-
rials of a Roman amphitheater. The statue of Emperor
Constantine looking its facade with columns and a
beautiful bas-relief of SanLorenzo.
Comimos en la Osteria Della Cagnola, cerca del
Arco della pace, caminamos por el Corso Magenta con
sus soberbios edificios. Llegamos a Santa Maria delle
Grazie, iglesia del siglo XV, de nave gótica con fres-
cos, una cúpula decorada, el claustro con su fuente
y en el refectorio con el fresco de “La Última Cena”
de Leonardo da Vinci y el mural “La crucifixión” de
Montorfano. Visitamos el Palazzo Litta (siglo XVII) con
hermosos salones, un elegante patio y una escalinata
demármol. En el CivicoMuseo Archeologico admiramos
obras romanas y cristianas. Seguimos por la iglesia San
Maurizio (1503), la Via Brisa con sus ruinas romanas y
la Piazza Affari donde se alza la Borsa Valori (1931), la
bolsa más importante de Italia.
Hicimos escala en el histórico café Magenta y llega-
mos a la Scala para asistir al concierto de la Filarmonica
Della Scalla e Coro dirigido por Daniel Barenboim. Con
la música de Beethoven en la cabeza, cenamos en
Ristorante Boeucc, el más antiguo de Milán (1696).
El día se acabó con encanto y armonía.
Día 4
En la Via Torino alcanzamos el Largo Carrobbio y el Mu-
seo Messina. Admiramos la puerta medieval Ticinese,
decorada con el tabernáculo de La Virgen y el Niño con
San Ambrosio. Descubrimos San Lorenzo alle Colonne,
basílica del siglo IV construida con materiales de un
anfiteatro romano. La estatua del emperador Cons-
tantino mira su fachada con columnas y un hermoso
bajorrelieve de San Lorenzo.
