At LargoAugusto theVerziere column commem-
orates the plague of 1676 and Via Durini is adorned
with beautiful buildings while watching Velasca
Tower, symbol of the modernism of 1958. The Pala-
zzo Sormani Andreani (XVIIIth century) houses the
national library. Santa Maria della Passione is the
second largest church inMilan (1496), its organs and
its chorus of wood are from the XVIth century.
WehaddinneratthePizzeriaNapoletanalaTaverna
and at 20:00 hrs we enter in the Carcano theater to see
“L’uomodalFioreinboccaandsgombero”.Thenwewent
toAlcatraz, a former factory transformed intoadisco.
Day 5
We visited the bohemian neighborhood of Brera and
the Academia di Belle Arte. The Via Ponte Vetero took
us to the Gothic church of Santa Maria del Carmine
(XVth century) where we admired the paintings of
Nuvolone, Fiammenghino and Landriani.

En el Largo Augusto la columna Verziere hace
memoria de la peste de 1676 y la Via Durini se adorna
de hermosos edificios mientras se observa la Torre
Velasca, símbolo del modernismo de 1958. El Palazzo
Sormani Andreani (siglo XVIII) alberga la biblioteca
nacional. Santa Maria Della Passione es la segunda
mayor iglesia de Milán (1496), sus órganos y su coro
de madera son del siglo XVI.
Cenamos en la Pizzeria Napoletana la Taverna y a
las 20:00 hrs. entramos en el teatro Carcano para ver
“L’uomo dal Fiore in bocca e sgombero”. Luego fuimos al
Alcatraz, una antigua fábrica transformada en discoteca.
Día 5
Visitamos el barrio bohemio de Brera y la Academia
di Belle Arte. La Via Ponte Vetero nos llevó a la góti-
ca iglesia Santa Maria del Carmine (siglo XV) donde
admiramos los cuadros de Nuvolone, Fiammenghino
y Landriani.
