Caminamos por el parque de Piazza dell Vetra,
encontramos los vestigios de un circo romano.
En la Via Lanzone está la iglesia de San Bernardino
alle Monache (siglo XV) con su fachada de ladrillos
decorada con mayólicas y sus frescos. Alcanzamos
Sant’Ambrogio (379). El Campanario de los Cánones
data del siglo XII y en el interior tiene las bóvedas de
crucería apoyadas sobre pilares. Aquí se ven el sarcófa-
go de Stilicho con hermosos relieves del sigo IV, el Altar
Dorado con relieves finos del siglo IX y el mosaico del
ábside. La Capilla de San Vittore in Ciel d’Oro destaca
con sus mosaicos dorados.
Alcanzamos el Naviglio Grande, ese canal que era
parte del sistema navegable con esclusas. Los últimos
domingos de cada mes se instala un mercado de anti-
güedades a lo largo del lugar. Comimos en la Osteria di
Porta Cicca, un restaurante romántico.
En Sant’ Eustorgio admiramos las reliquias de
los Reyes Magos, las pinturas y el museo Dioce-
sano. Llegamos a San Nazaro Maggiore donde nos
impresionó la capilla Trivulzio, obra octagonal de
Bramantino (siglo XVI) con sus frescos y vitrales.
Pasamos por Ca’Granda, un edificio monumental
construido para reunir los 30 hospitales de la ciu-
dad a partir del siglo XV y con el tiempo se volvió
la Università Statale di Milano.

we found the remains of a Roman circus.
In the Via
Lanzone is the church of San Bernardino alle Mona-
che (XV century) with its brick facade decoratedwith
tiles and frescoes. We reached Sant’Ambrogio (379).
The Belfry of Canons dates from the XIIth century
and the interior is the ribbed vaults supported
on pillars. Here are the beautiful sarcophagus of
Stilicho with reliefs from the IVth century, the
Goleen Altar with with fine reliefs of the IXth cen-
tury apse mosaic. The Chapel of San Vittore in Ciel
d’Oro stands out with it’s golden mosaics.
We got to the Naviglio Grande, this canal was
part of the navigable with locks. The last Sunday
of each month an antique market installed along
the place. We ate at the Osteria di Porta Cicca, a
romantic restaurant.
In Sant´
Eustorgio we admire the relics of the
Magi, the paintings and the Diocesan Museum. We
arrived in San Nazaro Maggiore where we struck the
Trivulzio Chapel, octagonal design by Bramantino
(XVIth century) with frescoes and stained glass.
We passed Ca’Granda, a monumental building con-
structed to cluster the 30 hospitals of the city from
the XVth century and eventually became the Statale
Università di Milano.
