amp Jabulani ha conquistado el título del mejor
restaurante de alta cocina, al mismo tiempo que
se lo reconoce como uno de los mejores lodges de
Sudáfrica. El chef Chris Smith tiene un estilo muy espe-
cial para preparar filetes de impala con hierbas gusto-
sas, y su pato con salsa de frutas rojas es un manjar. Las
flores naturales son sus aliadas para una maravillosa
decoración de los platillos, y en los postres utiliza sabo-
res naturales de frutas, en
mouse
o sorbete, para pre-

El lodge destaca por su elegancia y lujo, con sus seis
suites con alberca privada, su comedor y su sala decorada
con elementos típicamente africanos, estatuas y pinturas
de animales, pieles de cebra o antílope y muros de adobe.
Las comidas se sirven en la terraza, las cenas en el
elegante comedor, con cubiertos de plata y vajilla fina, o
en el lecho del río seco. Todos estos detalles son ilumi-
nados con antorchas, bajo un cielo blanco de estrellas y
mientras se degustan los platillos se pueden oír los ru-
gidos de los leones. Al anochecer, después de desem-
boscar los animales salvajes de la reserva de Kapama,
en medio de la sabana, la mesa está puesta con champa-
ña y exquisitos bocadillos para disfrutar del aperitivo al-
rededor de una fogata, antes de empezar un paseo
montados en elefantes.
Camp Jabulani ha combinado la elegancia con la ex-

amp Jabulani has won the title of the best
gourmet restaurant at the same time that it
is recognized as one of South Africa’s top
lodges. Chef Chris Smithhas a special way of preparing
impala steak with savory herbs and his duck with red
fruit sauce is delightful.
He uses natural flowers to decorate his dishes
and, for desserts, he uses the natural flavors of fruits,
either in mousse- or sherbet form, to present his
exquisite chocolate surprises.
The lodge is renowned for its elegance and luxu-
ry. It features six suites with private swimming pool,
dining room and living room decorated with typical
African elements, sculptures and paintings of ani-
mals, zebra and antelope skins and adobe walls.
Guests enjoy lunch on the terrace and dinner, com-
plete with silver cutlery and elegant dishes, is served in
the tastefully decorated dining room or in the dry
riverbed. Under a starry sky lit by torches youwill enjoy
yourmeal accompaniedby the roar of lions. At nightfall,
and when the wild animals of the Kapama Reserve no
longer lie in ambush, the table is set with champagne
andexquisite appetizers, in themiddleof the savannah,
so that you can enjoy a drink around the fire before
starting out for a ride on the back of an elephant.
Camp Jabulani combines elegance with the excel-
lence of its cuisine and is averitable kingdom of good
taste for the most demanding gourmand. It is a
