• En Marruecos las playas del Mediterráneo y del
Atlántico y sus montañas y desiertos ofrecen una
variedad de paisajes inolvidables. Para ingresar es
necesario llevar el pasaporte válido durante seis meses
desde la fecha de entrada en el país. Los ciudadanos
españoles no requieren visado para entrar; sin embar-
go, en el caso de otras nacionalidades se recomienda
consultar a la Embajada de Marruecos en el país.
• La estancia legal máxima que está permitida para los
turistas es de tres meses, en caso de querer prolon-
garla se deberá dirigir a los servicios de policía en los
ocho días siguientes a la llegada. No es obligatoria nin-
guna vacuna para viajar, aunque se recomiendan las
que son contra el tifus, la hepatitis A y el tétanos si se
viaja a zonas poco turísticas.
• El acceso a las mezquitas y a los lugares santos está
prohibido a los no musulmanes, con algunas excepcio-
nes: Mezquita de Hassan II en Casablanca, Mausoleo de
Mohammed V en Rabat, Mausoleo de Moulay Ismaïl en
Meknès, Mausoleo de Moulay Ali Chérif en Rissani. Es
recomendable aceptar el té a la menta en caso de ser
ofrecido, ya que éste es símbolo de hospitalidad.
• Para cruzar el Estrecho de Gibraltar la opción más rápida
es la que ofrecen las líneas de barcos rápidos a Tanger.
Hay también barcos que salen de Algeciras a Ceuta. La
moneda oficial es el dirham y se puede cambiar en ban-
cos de dicho país según el valor internacional.
• El viajero deberá declarar ante las autoridades migra-
torias la suma de divisas que lleva; en caso de comprar
moneda de ese país deberá guardar el comprobante
de la transacción. Existe un mecanismo de cambio a la
salida de los aeropuertos donde podrá cambiar el
sobrante de dirhams.

InMorocco, the Mediterranean and Atlantic beaches,

InMorocco, access to shrines and public places is pro-
hibited to non-Muslims. With certain exceptions, the
Hassan II Shrine in Casablanca, the mausoleum of
Mohammed V in Rabat, the mausoleum of Moulay
Ismaïl inMeknès, themausoleumofMoulayAli Chérif
in Rissani, it is recommendable to accept themint tea
if offered since it is a symbol of hospitality.
The fastest option to cross the Strait of Gibraltar is
the fast boats to Tanger. There also ferries that
leave Algeciras to Ceuta. The official currency is the
Dirham, which can be changed in the country's
banks according to the international value.
Travelers must declare the amount of currency they
are carrying before the immigration authorities.
Should they purchase Moroccan currency, travelers
must safeguard the voucher of the transaction. On
departure fromMoroccan airports, there is a mecha-
nism by which travelers may change any excess
Dirhams they may have.
