The AMURA has been taking part in the J-24 class
circuit regattas throughout the year. Many hours of
hard work and above all a high level of commitment
and dedication have made it one of the favorite can-
didates to qualify for theMexican Team.
Knowing all the teams, Villarreal confirmed
that no one is going to give up and that all the
boats will struggle hard to make it onto the
Mexican Team. He also commented that the climat-
ic conditions of the regatta course are a great
unknown factor for this year’s season, which may
produce either very light will very intense winds,

way of sailing the boat.

El equipo AMURA ha estado participando en las rega-
tas del circuito de la clase J-24 durante todo este año.
Muchas horas de fuerte trabajo y sobre todo un gran nivel
de compromiso y dedicación es lo que los ha llevado a ser
uno de los candidatos favoritos para calificar como parte
de la Selección Mexicana.
Conociendo a todos los equipos, Villarreal afirmó que
nadie se dará por vencido y todos los barcos lucharán
fuertemente por formar parte de la Selección Mexicana.
Además comentó que las condiciones climáticas de la
cancha de regata son una gran incógnita para esta tem-
porada del año, ya que pueden darse vientos muy flojos o
de mucha intensidad, lo que cambia mucho la estrategia
y la forma de navegar el barco.
