his is the course of the The Honourable

Company of Edinburgh Golfers (HCEG),

which dates from 1744, turning it into

one of themost ancient in theworldafter

the Leith Linkswere the first rules of golf

were created by the “Golfer Gentlemen of Leith” (this

foundingyear is evenolder thanSt. Andrews). In1891,

Old TomMorris added a couple of holes agregó un par

1928, Harry Colt and Tom Simpson had modification

made, this gave it the title of the first course with the

design of two centric rings of nine holes.

This course has hosted the British Open (the last

one in 2013), it is a difficult course because of the

wind’s intensity.
