l nuevo modelo de Cessna, el 850 Citation
Columbus, lleva en su nombre el reto de cambiar
el concepto de los
business jets
intercontinenta-
les, una vez que se convierta en realidad. El Citation
Columbus está diseñado para viajes de continente a
continente con un rango de 4mil millas náuticas (7,408
kilómetros), a una velocidad de Mach .80, llevando
cómodamente en su interior a ocho pasajeros.
Y no solamente eso, Cessna realizó alianzas estra-
tégicas con tres grandes compañías. Pratt & Whitney
Canada dotará a todos los modelos del motor PW810,
contará con el avanzado sistema de aviónica Pro Line
Fusion de Rockwell Collins y tiene un acuerdo inicial
con Spirit AeroSystems para producir el fuselaje y las
alas con lo último en tecnología.

he new Cessna model, the 850 Citation
Columbus, carries in its name the challenge
of changing the concept of intercontinental
business jets, which has now become a reality. The
Citation Columbus is designed for continent-to-
continent flights with a range of 4,000 nautical
miles (7,408 kilometers), at a speed of Mach 0.80,
carrying eight passengers in total comfort.
Cessna has also entered into strategic alliances
with three large companies. Pratt &Whitney Canada
will provide all models with the PW810 engine,
Rockwell Collins will supply the advanced Pro Line
Fusion avionics system and there is an initial agree-
ment with Spirit AeroSystems to manufacture the
fuselage and the wings using the latest technology.
