Heesen megayacht Home won the Naval Architecture Displacement and Best Ecological Design & Operation Innovation Award at the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards 2018 in Kitzbühel.

The new flybridge Ferretti Yachts 670 was presented at Boot Düsseldorf and is part of the 50th anniversary celebration for the German shipyard. The 65-footer takes the style, comfort and performance that have always been part of the brand’s DNA to an even higher level. Manufacture for the first unit will begin on January 2018 with a few characteristics from past models combined with significant new features.
The Custom Line Navetta 33, premiered in Ibiza in July, won “Best Interior Design: Motor Yachts below 399GT” at the ninth edition of the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards. The Navetta 33 is the creation between the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee (led by the engineer Piero Ferrari) and its Engineering Department (interior design), to achieve the vision of Mrs. Antonella Ferrari, Telli’s owner, who worked in tandem with the Custom Line style department.
Riva 90’ was first announced at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, and now the exterior flybridge was revealed at the 2018 boot Düsseldorf. The yacht is a product of the partnership between Officina Italiana Design (the studio founded by designer Mauro Micheli together with Sergio Beretta) and the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department.
The Rolex Sydney Hobart regatta took place recently with the participation of a fleet of 102 ships, which set sail from Sydney Harbor on December 26, travelled 628 nautical miles (1,145 km) and finally arrived at Hobart (Tasmania). The supermaxi LDV Comanche broke records, and the absolute victory went to Matt Allen’s ICHI BAN TP52, which performed admirably in navigation, completing the course in one day and 19 hours.
Heesen Yachts announced the joining of hull and superstructure of the New Project Neptune. This is a step toward completing the superyacht pre-engineered by Heesen and designed by British firm H2. It features tenders conveniently stored on the forward deck and a steel hull. The vessel will be powered by twin MTU 8V 4000 M63 engines, and will reach a maximum speed of 15.5 knots with a cruising range at 13 knots of 4,300 nautical miles.
Custom Line and Ferretti Yachts began the year of 2018 with two prestigious recognitions at the Christofle Yacht Style Awards, which took place on January 4th during Phuket RendezVous. Custom Line 120’, the shipyard’s first vessel to be created by Francesco Paszkowski Design, took home the prize for “Best International Motor Yacht New Release.” Meanwhile, the innovative Ferretti Yachts 920 won in the category of “Best Exterior Styling.”
