The jewel of Lago di Como

More than one hundred years old, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo is one the oldest luxury compounds in Lago di Como. An authentic Art Nouveau palace, it invites guests to travel back in time. A 5 star hotel, it offers unique views of the lake and the Gringe and Bellagio mountains.

It was built in 1910 to present to the European aristocracy the sophistication it was seeking. Bought by the Sampietro family in the 1930s, it soon became a place of wonder for the Western bourgeoisie; and, today, its current owners, the di Santis family, have conserved its great charm and personality.

The décor, featuring original furniture from days of yore, also boasts a music room fitted with sofas that invite guests to enjoy the music and a drink. The reading room conserves a tranquil ambience and is equipped with Internet access. The billiards room, supplied with a 19th century playing table, is a window into previous era; furthermore, the main dining room is a place to dine elegantly. Finally, the Regina hall, were breakfast is served, is quite a sumptuous space. 

 

 

The hotel is located on the edge of a slope that has been turned into a garden. It serves as a peaceful refuge, yet guests can also find tennis courts, a Fiori pool, as well as sculptures that adorn its paths.

The rooms are furnished with utmost style and grace. The lake, on the other hand, is a spectacle to behold; it is a pleasure to enjoy the view from the balcony, see the sun rise in the morning, and then observe the moon rise after sunset.

The spa is an ideal place to relax and renew your soul. The exterior pool floats over the lake and features a sundeck and waterfall. The hotels boat, Ruy, is a Venetian wooden vessel and an authentic water limousine that takes guests to points of interest. The hotel will also take guests to the finest golf courses of the region.
