• Para ingresar al país es recomendable que revise
los documentos que necesita para poder visitar el
destino, ya que en ocasiones éstos varían. En caso
de requerir visa, es necesario presentar pasaporte
con vigencia al menos de tres meses, más que la
del periodo para el que se solicita la visa. Presentar
los formularios correspondientes, dos fotografías
de pasaporte, solvencia económica durante la
estancia, seguro médico, entre otros. La solicitud
debe de ser efectuada al menos seis semanas
antes de la fecha de partida planificada.
• Para trasladarse dentro del país, es común utilizar el
servicio de tren pues llega a tener diversas conexiones
para traslados regionales y largos que suelen ser con-
venientes para los turistas. La red de ferrocarriles ale-
mana Deutsche Bahn (DB), cuenta con una serie de
descuentos, incluso si se compran los pases unos días
antesdehacer el viaje, el precio llega a ser unpocomás
barato. Se recomienda adquirir la tarjeta "BahnCard",
en caso de usar a menudo dicho transporte.
• Durante el invierno es normal los días con demasiado
frío, considere llevar ropa abrigadora, suéter, chama-
rra, bufanda, todo lo que pueda taparle para no dejar
de disfrutar los blancos paisajes. Si visita en otra tem-
porada del año asegúrese de ir bien preparado, tam-
bién con ropa abrigadora así como ligera, pues el
contraste de temperaturas es constante.
• Para los amantes de la navegación, Alemania ofrece
la posibilidad de viajar a través del ríomás importan-
te de la Unión Europea, el Río Rhin, que pasa por los
países de Liechtenstein, Francia, Alemania y Holanda
y en cuyo curso se localizan importantes puertos
fluviales como Rotterdam, Basilea y Mannheim,
entre otros. Gracias a los diversos programas de cru-
ceros que algunas agencias ofrecen es posible visitar
algunas de las impresionantes ciudades alemanas,
como Colonia, ya sea desde el Rhin o desde alguno
de sus múltiples canales de comunicación.
