nigma (formerly ECO and Katana) is

one of the world's largest private su-

peryachts. According to Power and

Motoryacht Magazine, she is owned

by Aidan Barclay, son of the British

media tycoon David Barclay, who recently pur-

chased the Telegraph newspaper. She was sold

after her former owner, Larry Ellison, took deliv-

ery of Rising Sun, the 6th largest private yacht

in the world. Measuring slightly more than 244

feet (or around 75 metres), Enigma is renowned

for her design, including a pyramidal super-

structure surrounded by convex windows and an

agile design that enables her to achieve a maxi-

mum speed of 30 knots. The yacht contains 9

luxurious suites and the rear deck was originally

designed to carry a Maule turboprop floatplane.

Blohm + Voss completed the building motor

yacht Enigma in 1991. As such, she has the distinc-

tion of being built over in Germany. Enigma had her

naval architecture and design compiled by Blohm +

Voss andMartinFrancis. This superyacht Enigma can

accommodate a maximum of 14 aboard and in addi-

tion to 19 qualified crew. Launched to celebration for

1991 the modern interior decoration illustrates the

traditional approach of the designwork of Zuretti In-

terior Design/Martin Francis/Laura Seccombe.

Motoryacht, éste es propiedad de Aidan

Barclay, hijo del magnate de los medios

ingleses David Barclay, quien recientemente compró el

periódico Telegraph. El superyate se vendió después de

que sumás reciente propietario, Larry Ellison, hizo la en-

trega del Rising Sun, el sexto yate privado más grande

del mundo. Midiendo un poco más de 244 pies (alrede-

dor de 75 metros), Enigma es reconocido por su diseño,

que incluye una superestructura en forma de pirámide

bordeada por ventanas convexas, y un ágil diseño que le

permite alcanzar una velocidad máxima de 30 nudos. El

yate contiene también nueve lujosas suites, y la cubierta

trasera fue originalmente diseñada para alojar a un avión

flotante de turboprop Maule.

Blohm + Voss completó el motor del yate Enigma

en 1991. Y por ello, tiene la distinción de haber sido

construido en Alemania. Su estructura naval y diseño

también fueron completados por Blohm + Voss y Mar-

tin Francis. Este suQerZate Quede acomodar a un mgYi-

mo de 14 personas a bordo además de una tripulación

calificada de 19 personas. Presentado ante una gran

celebración en 1991, el diseño interior revela el trabajo

tradicional de los diseñadores de Zuerrti Interior De-

sign/Martin Francis/Laura Seccombe.
