T his edification was created in 1887 by
architect Ludwig Heim with the inten-
tion of creating the headquarters of
the Dresdner Bank. When this area of
the city turned into the Soviet Sector
after the Second World War, the building served
as the bank of the Democratic German Republic. It
was later destroyed with the fall of the Berlin Wall
in 1989. During it’s renovation process, great effort
was made to preserve the original traces of its past.
Currently, the bank director’s office is a suite; the
vault where jewelry was safeguarded is an indoor
pool of 20meters of longitude; and the cashier’s hall
is a grand ballroom. We could say that history has a
pulse in its fabrics and interiors.
We find this place in the heart of Berlin, in the
historic Bebelplatz, which is forged by the avant
garde district of Mitte, which is near the Museum
Island; everything that is great about this city can
be found at hands reach in this location.
It’s restaurant, La Blanca, is an excellent
choice to savour various Italian rooted dishes,
whose bases are the best local produce. Any
gourmet bet found on the menu is in charge of
the successful chef Fulvio Pierangelini and per-
fectly executed by Jörg Behrend.
The roof gardenof thishotel is ideal to take anight-
cap, it is here we find Violet Royal, who presents itself
as easygoing and casual, with great attention to detail.
This beverage is based on champagne and it was in-
spiredby the lavender that grows in the terrace.

Ludwig Heim, con la intención de crear la
matriz del banco Dresdner. Cuando esta
área de la ciudad se convirtió en el sector
soviético después de la Segunda Guerra
Mundial, sirvió como el Banco de Estado de la República
Demwcrata Alemana. Este banco fue destruido con la
caída del muro de Berlín en 1989. Durante su proceso
de renovación, grandes esfuerzos fueron hechos para
Qreservar los autnnticos tra[os de su Qasado. Actual-
mente, la oficina del director del banco es una suite; la
bóveda en donde las joyas eran guardadas es una alber-
ca techada de 20 metros de longitud; y el pasillo de los
cajeros es el gran cuarto de baile. Se podría decir que la
historia tiene pulso en sus bordados e interiores.
Encontramos este lugar en el histórico Bebel-
platz, el cual es forjado por el vanguardista distrito
de Mitte, tambinn se encuentra cerca de la Isla de
los museos; todo lo que es grandioso de esta ciu-
dad se encuentra a la mano.
Su restaurante, La Blanca, es una excelente op-
ción para probar varios platillos con raíces italianas,
hechos a base de los mejores productos locales. Cual-
quier apuesta gourmet encontrada en su menú está a
cargo del eYitoso chef Fulvio 1ierangelini Z Qerfecta-
mente ejecutado por Jörg Behrend.
La azotea de este hotel es ideal para tomar un cóctel,
y es aquí donde encontramos Violet Royal, quien se pre-
senta despreocupado y casual con gran atención al deta-
lle. Esta fusión tiene una base de champagne y fue ins-
pirada por la flor de lavanda que crece en la terraza.
