tor: Louis Lumière. Sin embargo, desde los años 20
había comenzado el florecimiento de la ciudad. En
esta época se construyeron grandes villas, palacios,
elegantes hoteles, y en cuanto al diseño urbano, el
nacimiento de uno de sus íconos actuales: el paseo
de
La Croisette
. No obstante, siempre tuvo un sabor
singular, que aún es posible sentir en el
casco viejo
de
Le Suquet,
frente al
Vieux Port
.
Cannes is considered one of the most beautiful

Perhaps its well-earned reputation as the
"know how to live" mecca began in 1939, when

International Cannes Film Festival
took place, organized by its creator Louis Lu-
