O
nce again, the Italian shipyards adorn our
pages with another one of the beauties for
which they are known the world over, in this
case, it is AB YACHTS with their 88. Outside, imitat-
ing to a great extent the slippery and flying fish, the
AB 88 is a silver colored, except for the windows and
some other details, and obviously the wood that
characterizes the exterior of most motor yachts,
although in the case of the 88, it breaks the mold,
since darkwood is used, whichmakes a very elegant
contrast.
Throughout the length and width of its two spa-
cious decks, we find all we would expect from a
motor yachts of this length, which with its almost
30 meters, is an excellent candidate for a life dedi-
cated to onboard hedonism, to enjoy all of the sea’s
pleasures. On the main or upper deck, at the stern,
there is a sundeck and, facing the bow (protected by
a beautiful part-fixed, part-sliding glass roof) are
the recreational and lounge areas, such as the enor-
mous saloon, which has a long “C” shaped sofa and a
central table, that give the starboard view and an
enormous flat screen plasma TV and the entertain-
ment center.
Going up to the bridge, we find a main table for 8
diners, and towards the port side, the imposing
bridge offers space for three people comfortably
seated in chairs that are totally first-class. The out-
side part of this deck offers another sunbathing
area. Returning inside, immediately behind the
bridge, there is a stairway that takes us to the lower

AB YACHTS con su 88. Por fuera, imitando a una gran can-
tidad de escurridizos y veloces peces, el AB 88 tiene por
color el plateado, salvo los vidrios y algunos otros deta-
lles, y obviamente la madera que caracteriza a la mayoría
de los exteriores de embarcaciones, aunque en este caso
rompe con los moldes, pues la madera exterior es de
color oscuro, lo que genera un contraste muy elegante.
A lo largo y ancho de sus dos espaciosas cubiertas
encontramos todo lo que podemos exigirle a un yate de
esta longitud, que con sus casi 30 metros es un excelen-
te candidato para una vida dedicada al hedonismo a
bordo, disfrutando de todos los placeres que brinda el
mar. En la cubierta principal o superior, en la popa, hay un
espacio para asolearnos, y en dirección a proa (protegi-
dos por el hermoso techo de vidrio que se compone de
una parte fija y otra corrediza) están las áreas dedicadas
al esparcimiento y la convivencia, como la enorme sala,
que cuenta con un sillón corrido en forma de “C” y una
mesa central, que orienta las miradas a estribor, hacia
donde se encuentra la enorme pantalla de plasma que es
el centro de entretenimiento.
Al llegar al puente de mando hallamos la mesa prin-
cipal para ocho comensales, y hacia babor el imponente
puente de mando que tiene espacio para tres personas
cómodamente sentadas en asientos que no piden nada a
cualquiera de primera clase. En la parte exterior de esta
cubierta se encuentra dispuesta otra zona para baños de
