nes sucesivas y presión de varias toneladas se le da la
forma definitiva, mientras que los punzones y matri-
ces se fabrican de acero ultra duro con una precisión de
una milésima de milímetro. Posterior a los acabados
manuales, se realiza un pulido que dura de 2 a 6 horas
en promedio, dependiendo del tipo de caja y del metal
que se utilizó en su obtención.
Las etapas finales en la creación de un reloj
Patek Philippe duran varios meses, esto es, durante
el ensamblaje y después de éste. Los mecanismos
internos son sometidos a rigurosas pruebas durante
aproximadamente 30 días, y 20 días posteriores al
ensamblado se dedican a exámenes de precisión,
simulación de uso, control de las funciones e
impermeabilidad realizado con agua y aire. Finalmente,
se efectúa un control estético para confirmar que el
aspecto del reloj sea impecable. De esta manera, se
asegura la máxima calidad funcional y estética.
