The luxurious library exudes peace and culture,
complete with stories of Africa and hunting trophies.
The large living room is filledwith the great mystery of
Paul Augustinus’s magnificent paintings of African
scenes and animals and the vibrations released by
Robert Glen and Dylan Lewis’s bronze sculptures.
The dining room features a long table which, each
evening, is turned into awonderland of Limoges porce-
lain and silver cutlery. It is the perfect place to exhibit
the chef’s finest creations. On some evenings, dinner is
served around a bonfire on the terrace surrounded by
the mystery of the night. While dining you will hear
the call of hyenas and the roar of the lions.
The ancient doors, rescued from Zanzibar, open
onto the salons of the lodge and the suites. To com-
plement your enjoyment of the delicious meals, the
extraordinary cellar shelters the world’s best wines.
Mateya is the name of a queen and the lavish
Mateya Safari Lodge, surrounded by art and accompa-
nied by the roar of the lions, is a dignified, small palace,
a diminutive Eden in the heart of wild Africa.
La biblioteca trasunta paz y cultura con lujo, repleta
de historias de África y trofeos de cacería. La gran sala
se llena del asombroso misterio de las fabulosas pintu-
ras de paisajes africanos o animales de Paul Augustinus,
de las vibraciones de las esculturas de bronce de Robert
Glen o Dylan Lewis.
El comedor presenta una larga mesa que se viste
de gala en las noches, con porcelana de Limoges y cu-
biertos de plata, para recibir los mejores platillos del
chef. En algunas veladas, la cena se sirve alrededor de
la fogata en la terraza, en medio del misterio de la no-
che, cuando se escucha el llanto de las hienas o el ru-
gido de los leones.
Las puertas antiguas, rescatadas de Zanzíbar, abren
paso a los diferentes salones del lodge y de las suites, y
la extraordinaria cava alberga los mejores vinos del
mundo, para disfrutarlos con los sabrosos platillos.
Mateya es el nombre de una reina, y Mateya Safari
Lodge es un digno palacete, un rincón edénico en el co-
razón del África salvaje, rodeado de lujo y arte, y acom-
pañado por el rugido de los leones en el “bush”.
