ara los que no conocen la marca, que deben de
ser muy pocos, Baja Marine es un astillero que
se enfoca en el desarrollo y la construcción de
lanchas de alto rendimiento, deportivas y, por ende,
veloces. En este caso nos referimos a una de las más
grandes que hacen, por encima de ésta sólo está la
de 40 pies. Esta versión es la estándar. Hay una ver-
sión que llamaron “Pocker Run”, que se diferencia de
la normal por un peso 1,000 libras menor (aprox.
453.59 kg menos de peso) gracias a la utilización de
fibra de carbón y Kevlar® en su construcción. Otra
diferencia es la pintura exterior y el equipamiento,
pero de ésta nos ocuparemos en otra edición.
Pasando a lo que nos concierne, podemos definir a
Outlaw 35, modelo 2007, como una lancha deportiva,
con una imagen bastante agresiva. Incluso los colores y
el diseño que se utilizan en el casco son agresivos, el
rojo es un color que siempre se ha caracterizado por
acompañar a la deportividad y al peligro, y ésta no es la
excepción, este color en contraste con el negro y el gris
hace que se logre un efecto interesante, aunado al dise-
ño y al perfil de la embarcación. Si encendemos el
switch y le damos rienda suelta al corazón de este bóli-
do acuático, es impresionante la velocidad máxima que
alcanza con lamotorización estándar: ¡63 nudos (aprox.
117 km/h)! Ni hablar de lo que se podrá hacer con los

or those unfamiliar with the brand (although
they must be very few) Baja Marine is a boat-
yard that focuses on the development and
construction of high-performance, very fast sport-
ing boats. In this case we are talking about one of
the largest they produce, since above this model,
there is only the 40 foot version.
This version is the standard, but there is a ver-
sion called Pocker Run which weighs 1000 lbs
(approximately 453.59 kg) less thanks to the use of
Kevlar® carbon fiber in its construction. Other dif-
ferences are the exterior paint work and equip-
ment, but we will talk about that in another edition.
Turning to what concerns us in this case, the
2007 model Outlaw 35 can be defined as a sporting
boat with a very aggressive image, even the colors
and the design used on the hull are aggressive.
Red is a color that has always been characterized
as being associated with sports and danger and
this is no exception. The red used in contrast with
the black and gray produce an interesting effect,
added to the design of the profile of the boat. If we
turn on the switch and release the reins of this
aquatic luge, the maximum speed it can reach
with the standard engine is impressive: 63 knots
(approximately 117 km/h), without even talking of
