The Royal Golf Club, created in 1923, is locat-
ed only three kilometers (1.8 miles) from
Marrakech and features 18 par-72 holes with a
length of 6,276 meters (6,863 yards). It extends
over an area of 45 hectares (111 acres) festooned
with cypresses, eucalyptus, palms, olives and
fruit trees. Frequented by famous people such as
Churchill and Eisenhower, it was one of his
Majesty Hassan II’s favorite golf courses. It offers
wide fairways, which resemble authentic car-
pets, which wind their way between two lines of
trees that motivate prudence. The greens are
wide and undulating and are very protected by
strategically placed bunkers along the whole
course. The club offers a driving range, a Pro Shop
and a cafeteria-bar.
The La Palmeraie Golf Palace was designed by
R. Trent Jones, has 18 par-72 holes and is a true
work of art. It has a length of 6,200 meters (6,789
yards) and spreads out over a magnificent ter-
rain sprinkled with seven lakes and thousands

vos y árboles frutales. Anteriormente frecuentan-
do por famosos personajes, como Churchill y
Eisenhower, era uno de los campos de golf prefe-
ridos de su majestad Hassan II. Posee anchos fair-
ways
que
verdaderamente
constituyen
alfombras, serpenteando entre dos hileras de
árboles que incitan a la prudencia. Los greens son
anchos y ondulantes, sumamente protegidos por
búnkeres estratégicamente situados a lo largo del
campo. El club ofrece un driving range, una tienda
de golf y una cafetería-bar.
