Tal vez la relación que tienen los Países Bajos
conelmar,unproveedorqueaccedióaquesus

tan admirable inspiración y tecnología. En Holanda lo más
importante no es el estilo, sino la aplicación de la ingeniería
más avanzada, la búsqueda de una solución que ofrezca el
máximo rendimientoenunambiente siempre lujoso.
El Yate Aurelia es una muestra de lo que puede lograr
la capacidad creativa y tecnológica del pueblo neerlandés.
Su aspecto alude claramente a los automóviles deporti-
vos; incluso su nombre fue elegido tras el lanzamiento del
auto Lancia Aurelia GT.
En esta ocasión el equipo de Heesen desarrolló un
navío de 37 metros, fabricado principalmente en alu-
minio, cuyo diseño optimiza su desplazamiento sobre
el mar. De hecho, gracias al cuidado puesto en la reduc-
ción de peso y a la forma afinada de su casco, es capaz
de navegar a 30 nudos.
La cubierta de sol mide unos 87 metros cuadrados,
se extiende a casi el 50 por ciento de la eslora total y está
equipada para realizar casi cualquier actividad. Los dos
giróscopos estabilizadores Seakeeper eliminan práctica-
mente el balanceo del ancla sin afectar la velocidad ni la
maniobrabilidad.

itants to control its power and design its contour with
incredible inspiration and technology. Style is not that

gineering, the search for a solution delivering themaxi-
mumperformanceinanalwaysluxuriousenvironment.
The yacht Aurelia is a sample of what the cre-
ative ability and technology of the Dutch people
can achieve. Its appearance clearly resembles a
sport car; even its name was chosen after the in-
troduction of the Lancia Aurelia GT.
This time the Heesen team developed a 37
meter vessel, mainly manufactured with alumi-
num. The special design provides a soft travel
over the ocean. Actually, thanks to the care-
ful attention to reducing weight and the sharp
shape of its hull, it is able to surf at 30 knots.
Aurelia’s sun deck is only 87 square meters
with an overall length of almost 50 percent; it is
equipped to perform almost any maneuver. The
two stabilizing gyroscopes Sea keeper nearly
eliminates the anchor swing without any effect
in speed or maneuverability.
