esde su primer taller de relojería funda-
do en 1860 en Florencia, hasta su mag-
nífico centro de producción inaugurado
en 2014 en Pierre-à-Bot, en las colinas
que rodean Neuchâtel, Officine Panerai,
no deja de sorprendernos con creaciones que combi-
nan la elegancia del diseño italiano con la tradición de
la tecnología suiza.
La casa relojera desarrolla y fabrica en su propios
talleres (del 2002 a la fecha), toda una gama de movi-
mientos que ofrecen las funciones más sofisticadas.
La colección Luminor creada en 1949, se caracteriza
por el puente protector de la corona y las asas refor-
zadas hechas del mismo bloque de acero que la caja,
misma que tiene forma de cojín (como la del Radiomir
1940) y un bisel plano y más ancho. Modelos conoci-
dos como: Luminor 1950.
En esta ocasión, presentamos el último lanza-
miento de esta colección: el Panerai Luminor 1950 8
Days GMT. Un elegantísimo reloj que incorpora dos
de las características emblemáticas de la colección, el
puente protector y el indicador de reserva de marcha
lineal a las 6 horas, y además tiene cualidades singu-
lares. Cuenta con un movimiento manual de cuerda de
fabricación Panerai (P.2002), que garantiza una preci-
sión absoluta y alimenta la extraordinaria reserva de
marcha de ocho días de duración; funciona con tres
barriletes, tiene puesta a cero del segundero, fecha, y
un GMT con indicador de 24 horas.
La caja de este notable reloj mide 44 mm de
diámetro; la esfera café está cubierta por cristal de
zafiro anti reflejante de 14 mm de espesor y en el
fondo de la caja, el mismo cristal permite la vista
del movimiento mecánico. Su legibilidad es impe-
cable, tanto de día como de noche, gracias a los nú-
meros arábigos e índices luminiscentes. Viene con
una correa café cocodrilo y hebilla de oro rosa, con
otra correa intercambiable, una herramienta para
cambiarla y un destornillador de acero.

the elegance of the Italian design with the tradition
of the Swiss technology.
The watch house develops and manufactures in
its own shops (from 2002 until today), a whole range
of movements that offer the most sophisticated func-
tions. The Luminor collection surges in1949, it is char-
acterized by the bridge protecting the Crown and the
reinforced handles made from the same steel block of
which the box was created. The box has the shape of a
cushion (like the Radiomir of 1940) and a flat, wider
bevel. Thismodels areknownas Luminor 1950.
In this occasion, we present the to you the most
recent piece of this collection: the Panerai Luminor
1950 8 Days GMT. This is an extremely elegant watch
that incorporates two of the archetypal characteris-
tics of the collection, the protector bridge and the in-
dicator of the reserve of linearmarchat sixhours, and
has quite singular qualities. It has amanual winding
mechanism of Panerai manufacture (p. 2002) that
guarantees an absolute precision and feeds the ex-
traordinary winding reserve of eight days; it works
with three kegs, you can set the second hand to zero,
date and a GMT with 24hr indicator.
The box of this notable watch is 44 mm in di-
ameter; the Brown sphere is covered with an anti-
reflection sapphire crystal 14 mm in width and at
the bottom of the box, the same crystal allows the
mechanical movement to be observed. Its legibility
is impeccable, both in day and night time, thanks
to the Arab numbers and luminescent indexes. It
comes with a crocodile-brown strap and a clasp of
pink gold, with another exchangeable strap, a tool
to change it and a steel screwdriver.
