The first place in the Marlin’s capture was
taken by the Chicago Native, Luis Fernando Ramos
who captured a 182.7 kilogram fish on his second
day at the activity, overcoming the Nayarit
Fernando Menchaca, who on his first day had catch
a 158 kilogrammodel.
The third place was also for Ramos, who risked
it all from the beginning of the competition with
the sole objective of succeeding, situation that
was achieved at the end of the competition. In
regards of the Marlin a Nayarit won fourth place;
Miguel Sierra who was very close of being among
the best three of the 2009 tournament.
Referent to the Tuna fishing, the winner was
José Luis Pérez Preciado, who on his first day of fis-
hing got a 108.8 kg specimen.
On the second day of the activity only a Tuna
was captured, who barely reached 65.9 kg in
weight therefore staying in second place, while
Preciado gained victory .
This tournament has start to become a tradi-
tion in the Nayarit Riviera, in its third year of com-
peting it has increased the number of participants
resulting in 47 during 2009 and it is expected to
greater during the next editions.
Despite the fact that the weight of the speci-
mens wasn’t like the one last year, the fishing
tournament left a great aftertaste in all the compe-
titors, by assuring that it was at the level of one of
the best competitions in Latinamerica.
El primer lugar en la captura de Marlin, se lo llevó
el originario de Chicago, Luis Fernando Ramos quien
capturó un pez de 182.7 kilogramos en su segundo
día de actividad, para de esta forma superar al naya-
rita Fernando Menchaca, quien en el primer día había
capturado un ejemplar de 158 kilogramos.
El tercer lugar fue también para Ramos, quien
salió por todo desde el inicio de la competencia con el
único objetivo de conseguir el triunfo, situación que
se dio al final de la competencia. En lo que se refiere
a Marlin un nayarita figuró en el cuarto sitio; Miguel
Sierra que se quedó cerca de estar entre los tres
mejores del torneo 2009.
Por lo que se refiere a la pesca de Atún, el gana-
dor fue José Luis Pérez Preciado, que en su primer día
de pesca consiguió un ejemplar de 108.8 kg.
En el segundo día de actividad solamente se cap-
turó un Atún, que alcanzó apenas el peso de 65.9 kg
para de esta forma quedarse con el segundo sitio,
mientras que Preciado obtenía la victoria.
Este torneo empieza a ser una tradición en lo que
es la Riviera Nayarit, que en su tercer año de compe-
tencia va incrementando el número de participantes
al tener 47 en este 2009 y se espera que crezca en las
próximas ediciones.
Y a pesar de que el peso de los ejemplares no fue
el de hace un año, el torneo dejó un grato sabor de
boca a los participantes, el cual estuvo a la altura de
las mejores competencias de Latinoamérica.
