C
uando dos compañías que tienen tras de sí una
amplia trayectoria o renombre en sus respec-
tivos campos se unen para llevar a la luz un
nuevo concepto, no puede más que resultar en una
obra maestra. Es así como The Porsche Design Group
y Royal Falcon Fleet se unen para crear un navío que
combina un aspecto ultra moderno con funcionalidad:
el RFF135 Catamaran.
Porsche Design no se aventuró en la creación de yates
hasta el año 2007, cuando colaboró con Fearless Yachts
en el diseño de algunas de sus lanchas rápidas, por lo que
sin duda, el RFF135 representa un paso adelante para la
firma francesa. Y aunque otras casas automotrices, como
Audi o Volkswagen han también incursionado en el mar,
Porsche presenta unmega yate que parece no tener igual.
A diferencia de la mayoría de los yates de más de
135 pies, el casco del RFF135 no está elaborado con
base en fibra de vidrio, sino totalmente de aluminio.
Esto se debe a que sólo un material así de resistente
se requería para lograr el aspecto de “nave espacial
sobre el agua” que se tenía proyectado desde la pla-
neación del concepto. De esta manera, el yate com-
bina elementos antiguos, como la configuración del
catamarán, con detalles futuristas.

a new concept, can only result in amasterpiece. This
is how The Porsche Design Group and Royal Falcon
Fleet come together to create a ship that combines
an ultra modern appearance with functionality: the
RFF135 Catamaran.
Porsche Design did not venture in building
yachts until 2007, when they collaborated with
Fearless Yachts in the design of some of their speed-
boats, thus undoubtedly the RFF135 represents
a step forward for the French firm. And although
other car manufacturers like Audi and Volkswagen
have also ventured into the sea, Porsche presents a
mega yacht without equal.
Unlike most yachts over 135 feet, the hull of the
RFF135 is not made with the fiberglass base, but
made entirely of aluminum. This is because only a
material this endurable is required to reach the look
of “spaceship on the water” which was projected
from the planning concept. Thus, the yacht com-
bines old elements, such as the catamaran configu-
ration, with futuristic details.
