AN BLAS, NAYARIT.- La pesca es una actividad
que día con día gana adeptos y se practica en
muchas partes del país o en el mundo, pero
hay un lugar que especialmente durante los últimos
dos años, se ha convertido en un destino referente
para esta actividad: La Riviera Nayarit.
Ni la depresión tropical ni el mal clima impidió
que se pudiera disfrutar en el puerto de San Blas, del
Torneo Internacional de Pesca celebrado del 18 al 20
de junio pasado, evento iniciado en 1960 para pro-
mover la pesca deportiva y el turismo en este
histórico lugar.
Pero además para el mes de junio del 2010, el
Torneo de San Blas tendrá una triple celebración: Sus
Bodas de Oro, los festejos del Bicentenario así como
el centenario de la Revolución Mexicana.
Las costas de la Riviera Nayarit ofrecen una gran
variedad de especies “deportivas” tales como Marlin
Azul, Negro y Rayado, Pez Vela, Wahoo, Dorado y sin
lugar a dudas el que ha puesto al destino en el mapa

years specially, has become a precise destination
for this activity: The Riviera Nayarit.
Nor the tropical depression or the bad weather
could stop everyone fromenjoying The International
Fishing Tournament at the port of San Blas, perfor-
med fromthe18th through the20thof June, anevent
that began since 1960 in order to promote sports fis-
hing and tourism in this historic place.
Also during June of 2010, the Tournament of
San Blas will have a triple celebration: its golden
weddings, the bicentennial celebrations as well as
the Mexican revolution centennial.
The Riviera Nayarit coasts offer a wide variety
of “sports” species such as the Blue Marlin, Black
and Stripped, sailfish, Wahoo, Golden and without
a doubt the one that has placed the destination in
Riviera Nayarit
