Mezquita de Juma
Shamaki
Se considera la primera mezquita en el Cáucaso des-
pués de la catedral de la Mezquita del Viernes de Der-
bent, que fue construida en el año 734.
Mezquita de Tezepir
Situado en el territorio de Absherón, este monumen-
to de los siglos XIV-XV, se considera un centro reli-
gioso no sólo de Azerbaiyán, sino de todo el Cáucaso.
La mezquita fue reformada substancialmente entre
2007-2009.
Mezquita Bibi-Heybat.
Es un centro religioso y espiritual muy significativo
para el Islam ya que posee en su interior la tumba de
Ukeyma Khanum, uno de los descendientes del profe-
ta Mahoma, a quien el pueblo azerbaiyano rinde culto.

Tezepir Mosque
Located in the Absheron territory, this monument
from the 14th-15th century is considered a reli-
gious center in Azerbaijan, as well as in the entire
Caucasus region. The mosque was substantially re-
formed between 2007 and 2009.
Bibi-Heybat Mosque
It is a religious and spiritual center of great signifi-
cance for Islam, as it harbors the tomb of Ukeyma
Khanum, on of the descendants of the prophet Mu-
hammad, a figure revered by the Azeri.
