Singular también es el prototipo de un super yate,
el más grande y asombroso, en asociación con los
constructores alemanes Blohm y Boss, cuyo modelo
digital es posible disfrutar con tecnología de realidad
virtual en la tienda

Tenía 43 años en 1993, cuando edificó lo que se
dice fue su primera obra: la estación de bomberos
dentro del complejo Vitra, en Alemania. Otro paso
importante en su consolidación internacional ocu-
rrió en 2001 con su innovador diseño del trampolín
de saltos de Bergisel, en Innsbruck, Austria; a partir de
lo cual construyó en prácticamente el mundo entero:
desarrollos urbanos, culturales, educativos, médicos,
turísticos, industriales, de usos múltiples, oficinas,
residenciales, deportivos, áreas sustentables, torres,
terminales de transporte; todo esto bajo su propia fir-
ma: Zaha Hadid Arquitechts.
Durante 14 años desarrolló una vertiginosa ca-
rrera, dedicada en cuerpo y alma a la pasión de
su vida. No se casó, ni tuvo descendencia. Fue el
momento de los grandes logros y de los mereci-
dos reconocimientos, que se cuentan por cientos.
Fue la primera mujer en recibir el premio Pritzker
en solitario, en 2004. Además de la Orden Dama
Comandante del Imperio Británico por servicios a
la arquitectura, Doctor Honoris Causa de la Uni-
versidad de Artes de Londres, y fue integrante del
grupo editorial de la Enciclopedia Británica, entre
muchos otros.

Another highlight of this era was a super yacht
prototype, of astonishing design, in a partnership
with Blohm and Ross. A digital model can be ad-
mired in virtual reality at the Image shop in Self-
ridges, London.
It wasn’t until 1993, at the age of 43, that she
erected her first project: a fire department in an
urban complex in Vitra, Germany. Another impor-
tant step in her career occurred in 2001, with the
construction of an innovating jumping trampo-
line design in Innsbruck, Austria. From there, she
built structures in nearly every corner of the globe:
urban, cultural, educational, medical, leisure, and
industrial structures, as well as housing projects,
office buildings, residential homes, towers, sustain-
able structures, transport hubs, andmore under the
authority of her own firm: Zaha Hadid Architects.
For fourteen years, she developed a vertiginous
career, dedicated through and through to the passion
in her life. She did not marry, nor had any children. It
was simply a life of great achievement and properly
earned prizes, hundreds of which can be named. In
2004,shewasthefirstwomantobethesolerecipientof
thePritzker prize. Furthermore, shewasnamedaDame
Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the Brit-
ish Empire for her services to architecture, granted an
honoraryDoctoratedegree fromthe LondonUniversity
of Arts, and formed part of the Encyclopedia Britannica
editorial group, amongstmanyother.
