Un mes después de haber recibido la Medalla de
Oro del Royal Institute of British Architects –fue tam-
bién la primera mujer en merecerlo- en el pináculo de
su carrera profesional. El día 31 de marzo de 2016, su
vida física dejó de existir, dando paso a una leyenda de
dimensiones que todavía son imposibles de vislum-
brar y describir. Dejó alrededor de 36 proyectos por
finalizar, algunos en construcción y otros en su etapa
de diseño en 21 países alrededor del mundo; todos
serán terminados, de acuerdo a comunicaciones de la
firma Zaha Hadid Architects.

A month after being awarded the Gold Medal by
the Royal Institute of British Architects – the first
woman to receive this prize – she was at the height
of her professional career. Yet, on the 31st of March,
2016, she passed away, and paved the way for a leg-
end whose dimensions are yet to be fully explored
and described. She left behind around 36 incom-
plete projects, some still being constructed, and
others on paper, in 21 countries around the world.
All will be developed, according a spokesperson at
Zaha Hadid Architects.
