Entre otras ventajas de la embarcación está el
amplio cuarto de máquinas, con espacio suficiente
para acceder debajo del motor, lo que hace la
experiencia de mantenimiento mucho más sencilla.
En este cuarto es donde se hace patente el trabajo de
ingeniería, que construye el barco pensando primero
en la funcionalidad, y después en los detalles.
La familia que hoy viaja en este explorador estuvo
involucrada en la personalización de su nuevo hogar
en el mar de principio a fin: “Visitar el astillero durante
la construcción fue una gran experiencia. Cada
pieza está cortada a mano y hecha a medida, pieza
por pieza, soldada, clavada, conectada y pintada,
todo es personalizado. Es un trabajo de verdaderos
artesanos, y Cantiere delle Marche tiene a algunos
de los mejores. Disfrutamos nuestras visitas no sólo
porque estábamos ansiosos de ver cómo estaba todo,
sino porque era muy divertido. Puede sonar como
un cliché decir que nos sentimos parte de la familia
Cantiere delle Marche, pero es cierto”.
Nadie describe la sensación de viajar en
Percheron mejor que su dueño: “Lo mejor del Darwin
es que puede ir a cualquier parte. Mientras el mundo
se hace cada vez más pequeño y sus mares cada vez
más llenos de gente, es increíble poder considerar,
de forma segura, destinos aún inexplorados”.

“Visiting the shipyard during her construction was
a great experience. Every piece is hand-cut and cus-
tomized, piecebypiece, welded, hammered, plugged
in and painted, everything is bespoke. This is the
work of true artisans and Cantiere delle Marche has
got some of the best. We enjoyed our visits not only
because we were eager to see how everything was
going, but because it was a lot of fun. It might sound
like a cliché to say that we feel that we belong to the
Cantiere delle Marche family, but it is true”.
